Extracurriculars
Every child is created by God with distinct gifts, talents and interests. Wednesdays at Eukarya Christian Academy give students in seventh through 12th grade the room to find them.
Learning is more than reading, writing and arithmetic. On Wednesdays, students step into hands-on work beyond the traditional classroom: they explore careers, build practical skills, serve their community and discover how their abilities can be used for God’s Kingdom.
Middle school
Health & P.E.
Fitness, team sports and the habits of personal wellness, built through strength, endurance, flexibility and coordination work.
Protocol
Greetings and introductions, setting a table, serving a meal, dining etiquette and social dancing, practiced until courtesy is second nature.
Worship Team
Students use their musical gifts to help lead worship, growing as vocalists and musicians while learning what it means to point others toward Christ.
Art
Drawing, painting, color and design through hands-on projects, with an introduction to famous artists and conversations about truth, goodness and beauty.
Intro. to Acting
The fundamentals of acting through masked drama, pantomime, a Shakespeare monologue and scene work, with a focus on projection and movement.
Improv
Games and unscripted scenes that teach students to listen, build on a partner’s ideas, think on their feet and recover gracefully.
Choir
Vocal technique, reading music and singing harmony across a variety of styles. No choir experience needed.
Dance
Age-appropriate choreography, costumes and music chosen to honor God, rehearsed toward performance.
Crafty Creations
Crochet from the first stitch: holding a hook, common stitches and simple patterns, at each student’s own pace.
Jr. Trades
Shop safety, hand and power tools, measuring and simple plans, applied to carpentry, construction, electrical and plumbing projects.
Sewing & Tailoring
Sewing machine operation, safety, terminology and fabric selection, learned through a series of confidence-building projects.
Agriculture
Soil science and crop growing on campus through Farming God’s Way: planting, tending, harvesting, composting and caring for creation.
I.T.
A guided tour of modern technology: hardware, coding, 3D modeling and printing, networking, AI, touch typing and keyboard shortcuts.
S.T.E.M.
Gravitational and contact forces explored through experiments, then applied to saving Earth from an asteroid and designing a carnival game.
Speech & Debate Team
A competitive team led by a championship debate coach, building research, persuasive speaking, argument and rebuttal.
Student Council
Students represent their classmates, plan activities, encourage school spirit and serve on projects as servant leaders.
History
People, places, cultures and events of the past, explored through discussion, games, research and creative projects.
Spanish
The language and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world through games, food, music, crafts, conversation and outings.
High school

Ministry
Bible study, prayer, discipleship and outreach for students who want to grow in faith, develop spiritual gifts and serve.
Service Squad
Students serve God by serving their school: tearing down after chapel, helping at events and meeting practical needs on campus.
Worship Team
Vocalists and musicians who lead worship at weekly chapel and learn the spiritual responsibility of leading others.
Choir

A full day at Powder Keg Farms, a Farming God’s Way demonstration farm, raising produce for ECA’s weekly CSA and learning animal care and conservation.
Children’s Ministry Club
Students plan and lead a chapel for kindergarten through second grade, with skits, puppets, object lessons and worship.
Dance Technique & Composition
Technique across styles plus composing and teaching original choreography, performed in a way that honors God.
Drama
Theater from first read-through to curtain call: a fall play in November, then auditions and rehearsals for the spring musical.
Inklings
A creative writing club where each student writes and revises an original short story for a collection published at year’s end.
Intro. to Digital Art & Animation
Animation principles on paper, then digital animation and other digital art, with composition, color and visual storytelling.
Masterworks Art Studio

Sound and lighting for chapel, performances and live events: setup, running cues and solving problems calmly behind the scenes.

A yearlong build of a rover for Mars-like conditions, using microcontrollers, sensors, Rust, CAD, 3D printing and solar power.

Starting and running a business: planning, budgeting, finance, marketing and economics, applied to students’ own ideas.
